About MACRAO

The Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (MACRAO) is a nonprofit, charitable and voluntary professional education association of institutions of higher education which provides for the exchange of information concerning issues of common interest in order to contribute to the advancement of education in the State of Michigan.

The association, through meetings, other workshops, seminars, and contacts with educational leaders and other professional associations in the state, strives to provide professional development opportunities as well as provide a forum for discussion and the exchange of ideas in order to advance higher education, particularly in the areas of admissions, registration and records at educational institutions.

The Benefits of Membership

Your membership in MACRAO connects you to hundreds of higher education professionals who share your interest in admissions, recruitment, and registrar's practices. It's true that the more of yourself you give to MACRAO, the more the organization can help you in your current job and your lifelong career.

MACRAO members are encouraged to participate by joining a committee; volunteering to be a presenter or moderator for a fall conference session; assist with conference or meeting arrangements; work on communications; or help with special projects. If you'd like to play an active role in MACRAO, contact a current committee chair or any member of the Board of Directors.

Professional development is an important part of MACRAO. We provide professional development opportunities for our members throughout the year. This all takes hard work and effort by a dedicated group of people. Get involved, and volunteer your time and talents!

Welcome to the MACRAO community!
