1999 New Professionals Workshop

The 1999 New Professionals Workshop was held on September 16 - 17 in Lansing and had 41 new admissions professionals in attendance. The conference was a huge success and welcomed guest speakers who shared their expertise on college nights, high school visits, financial aid, presentation skills, diversity awareness and survival skills. Participants also completed in the DISC Personal Profile Preview and examined their personal strengths and weaknesses with the help of guest speaker Rich Howard from Lansing Community College.

Participants also had the opportunity to meet fellow admissions representatives and network with those working in specific travel territories through a business card exchange. The MACRAO organization should be proud to have so many new, talented professionals representing Michigan institutions to prospective students throughout the state.
