How do I find my User ID for the MACRAO web site?
- Click on the "Online Lookup" link under MACRAO Directory on the Member Services gray menu bar (left side of screen).
- Enter your information in the search boxes. Click the "Start Search" button.
- Listed under your name and title, you will see your User ID.
If you cannot find your entry in the online directory, contact your institution's
directory editor.
I don't remember my password. How can I reset my password? Do I even have a password?
Any MACRAO member may have a password to the website. Resetting the password will assign one, if the user did not have one previously.
- Click on the "Member Login & Menu" link on the Member Services gray menu bar (left side of screen).
- Click on the "Can’t remember your Password?" link.
- Select your institution and enter your User ID. Click the "Submit" button.
A new password will be sent via email to the email address listed for you in the MACRAO Online Directory.
It is strongly recommended that you change your password, once it has been reset.
If there is no email address listed for you in the online directory, contact your institution's
directory editor.
How do I change my password once I have logged in?
- Click on the "Member Login & Menu" link on the Member Services gray menu bar (left side of screen). If you have not logged in, you will be asked to do so.
- Click on the "Update Your Information/Password" link.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
- Enter a new password in both boxes. Click "Change Password".
How do I update my information listed in the online directory?
Any member with a password can update his/her information listed in the MACRAO Online Directory.
- Click on the "Member Login & Menu" link on the Member Services gray menu bar (left side of screen). If you have not logged in, you will be asked to do so.
- Click on the "Update Your Information/Password" link.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
- Enter a new password in both boxes. Click "Change Password".
Where can I find Committee lists or Committee contact information?
- Click on the "Committees" link on the Member Services gray menu bar (left side of screen).
- Click on the "Full Committee Membership Lists" link.
You can view previous committee lists by changing the drop-down box.
MACRAO members can access email distribution lists for the committees if they are logged in to the site.
What is the Committee News page and how can I update information for my committee?
The Committee News page is a way MACRAO committee members can update the MACRAO web site with current news or other
information they would like to be available to all MACRAO members.
To update information for your committee:
- Click on the "Committee News" link on the Member Services gray menu bar (left side of screen).
- Click on the link for the "Committee News Entry page". If you have not logged in, you will be asked to do so.
- Following the instructions on the page, entering your current news.
- Click the "Submit" button.
Successfully submitted news items will display on the Committee News page immediately.
Please view your entries on the Committee News page to ensure it appears as you wish.
If you need to delete a news entry, go to the "Committee News Entry page". At the top of that page, you will see a link for "Click here to Delete a Committee News Entry."
